Sherri Howell, DO

Associate Professor of Primary Care

Dr. Sherri Howell graduated from Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1994.  After completing Family Medicine Residency, she practiced in rural Illinois.  Her practice included outpatient and inpatient care as well as nursing home and hospice care.  In 2012, she became a full-time faculty for Kansas City University teaching in the Primary Care Department.  In 2015, she moved to Las Cruces, New Mexico as the Chair of Primary Care and founding faculty for the Burrell College of Osteopathic Medicine.  In 2018, she returned to KCU.  Her teaching included lecture, lab and multiple small group activities.  She retired from full-time employment in March 2025 but still enjoys teaching part-time in labs and small group activities.
