Dr. Ross Newman is a pediatrician in the Division of General Academic Pediatrics at Children’s Mercy Hospital and an Associate Professor of Pediatrics with the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine.  He is a graduate of Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine and pediatrics residency at Children’s Mercy Hospital.  He has an interest in evidence-based medicine and worked with the Children’s Mercy Hospital Office of Evidence Based Medicine helping develop clinical practice guidelines and serving as the resident educational lead for teaching evidence-based medicine.  His focus includes resident education, and he joined the Department of Graduate Medical Education as an Associate Program Director for the Pediatrics Residency Program in 2012 before taking on his current role of Program Director in 2016.  During this time, he earned his Masters in Health Professions Education from UMKC.
