Kathleen Senn, MD

Katie Senn is an attending pediatrician in the General Pediatric Clinic at Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri, where she has been in practice for the past 25 years.  She enjoys the challenge of treating a wide variety of patients, from those with medical complexities, mental and behavioral health concerns, and routine well-child care.  She believes that teaching residents and medicals students in the clinic and classroom are also a vital part of lifetime learning and commitment to excellence.

She found the COVID pandemic and the midpoint in her career an excellent time to reflect on what the next 20 years might look like and knew that it needed to be grounded in a more hopeful, holistic and root cause approach to treating our youngest patients and teaching our youngest doctors.  She has since graduated from the University of Arizona’s Integrative Medicine Fellowship program and has recently become board certified.  Dr. Senn is now on a mission to find a way to merge Integrative Medicine with Pediatrics practice; but it’s a work in progress.

In her free-time, she has “side-gigs” as mom of teen boys and yoga teacher.

Dr. Senn discloses that she has no relevant financial relationships with any organization producing, marketing, reselling, or distributing health care goods or services consumed by, or used on, patients relative to the content of this presentation.
