Robert D Arnce, M.D., FACEP, is a board certified, residency trained emergency physician. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Biology and Chemistry from William Jewell College in Liberty, Missouri in 1989. He graduated from Mayo Medical School in Rochester, Minnesota in 1993 and completed his residency training in Emergency Medicine at the University of Louisville in 1996. He received his board certification Emergency Medicine from the American Board of Emergency Medicine in 1996 and Fellowship status from the American College of Emergency Physicians in 1999.
Dr. Arnce is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine at Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences. He practiced emergency medicine for over 30 years and is an attending in the Emergency Medicine Residency Program at Freeman Hospital in Joplin, Missouri.
His areas of interest include :
- Point-Of-Care Ultrasound (POCUS) in the ED setting and the assessment of shock with point-of-care ultrasound.
- Tick-borne illness and its increased prevalence in Southwest Missouri
- Practice Management and Emergency Department process, flow, and quality improvement
