Kimberly Schwarzkopf, DO

Family Medicine Resident

St. Luke's Des Peres Hospital

Kimberly Schwarzkopf, DO, was a second year family medicine resident at St. Lukes Des Peres Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri during this activity. She graduated medical school in 2019 from A.T. Still University Kirksville College of Medicine. In her free time, she enjoys going on hikes, playing intramural volleyball or basketball, and checking out local restaurants with friends and family. Kimberly graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh in 2014 with a bachelor's degree in Biology and minor in Chemistry. As a full-time undergraduate student, she was employed as an ER physician’s scribe, was President of the Pre-Medical Society and President of the Golden Key Honor Society, volunteered weekly at a local free clinic and participated in intramural sports. During much of this same period, she also worked as an AHEC Community Health Summer Intern for Drug Free Communities, an organization dedicated to substance abuse, prevention and community advocacy, tutored math and chemistry, and worked as a sales associate in the campus convenience store. Kimberly was awarded the 2014 Leadership Award which was presented to 5 students per year for academic excellence and leadership at the UW-Oshkosh graduation ceremony. Of note, Kimberly worked as a Project Manager for Elite Medical scribes prior to medical school, and helped establish new scribe programs around the midwest. Kimberly’s accomplishments and strengths in leadership, teaming, patient care, clinical volunteering, public service, health education, and relationship building have helped guide her through her journey in becoming an osteopathic physician. After residency, she is looking forward to eventually having some time to return to the activities she finds most rewarding such as volunteering at free clinics and becoming part of a team that makes structural or policy changes that impact greater masses.

Dr. Schwarzkopf discloses that she has no actual or potential conflict of interest in relation to this program or presentation.  She also discloses that he has no relevant financial relationships with any commercial interests relative to the content of this presentation.
