Barbara H. Miller, MD, FAAFP, is the Founding Resident Program Director in Family Medicine, KCU-GME Consortium, Freeman Health System, Joplin, MO. She graduated from the University Of Oklahoma College Of Medicine in 1999, and is board certified in Family Medicine. In addition to nine years of experience in graduate medical education, including eight years as a program director, Dr. Miller has had many diverse experiences in her 23-year career, including rural medicine, surgical obstetrics, functional medicine, and more recently medical student education in both the preclinical and clinical curricula. She has received numerous teaching awards, has been honored by the Gold Humanism Honor Society, and is a nationally recognized leader and innovator in family medicine education. She has recently been selected to participate in the American Academy of Family Practice’s National Conference on Constituency Leaders, whose goal is to empower a select group of change makers to catalyze positive change in family medicine. Barbara H. Miller affiliates with the Freeman Health System - Freeman West, and Freeman Neosho Hospital.
