Charlene LePane, DO, MSPH, FASGE, FACG, FACOI, began her career as a nurse, then completed her BS at Auburn University in 1998. She earned a MSPH from UAB in 1999 with her thesis concentration in Epidemiology. She graduated from Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences as a DO in 2004 and completed her Internal Medicine residency at Mt. Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach, where she served as Chief Resident. She subsequently served as Chief Fellow during her Gastroenterology fellowship at St. John Oakland-Macomb Hospital in Michigan. She is dual board certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. She has published multiple studies in peer-reviewed scientific journals. She remains active as a trustee with the Florida Osteopathic Medical Association, where she previously served as District 3 President. She is a fellow of the American College of Osteopathic Internists (ACOI), the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ASGE) and the American College of Gastroenterology (ACG). She serves on the Board of Directors for the ACOI and gives of her time on several committees for the ACOI. Dr. LePane is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine for UCF College of Medicine, LECOM, NSU-KPCOM and KCU and is passionate about training and education. She works for AdventHealth Medical Group in Celebration, FL as a gastroenterologist and a Director of Medicine Specialties for the group. Her enthusiasm for campus leadership are demonstrated by serving as Assistant Chief of Staff as well as a Provider Specialist Trainer and Champion for Epic. She is currently enrolled in an MBA program with Health Service Administration focus at Barry University and has a particular interest in Health Care Informatics. In her spare time, she runs marathons, volunteers for local charities, travels and spends time with her wife and family in Central Florida.
