Dr. Matt Daggett, the founder and President of Sano Orthopedics, is a board-certified and dual fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon. With 60+ clinical articles & care collaboration with renowned international surgeons, Dr. Daggett has established himself as a trusted surgeon early in his career. He is a leader in medical technology, including needle arthroscopy, a less-invasive tool for treating many issues without general anesthesia.
Dr. Daggett founded Sano Orthopedics with a mission to improve musculoskeletal health. This pursuit drives his technique innovation, which he validates through research and outcomes. He leads the country with Needle Arthroscopy, a minimally invasive knee and shoulder technique. He believes better-individualized care will create a healthier KC village.
Dr. Daggett was born and raised in Kansas City, MO. After graduating from the University of Missouri-Columbia, Dr. Daggett received his medical degree from KCU and MBA in Healthcare Leadership from Rockhurst University. He completed his orthopedic residency in Kansas City.
Following residency, Dr. Daggett knew he wanted to become a sports medicine physician. Thus, he obtained 2 fellowships: a sports medicine fellowship and a shoulder fellowship.
Dr. Daggett is an active researcher in his orthopedic field and an expert in injury prevention, knee ligament injuries, sports medicine, and shoulder rotator cuff repair and treatment. He is the only American member of the International SANTI research group on sports medicine injuries and an associate clinical professor of KCU. He’s also the Program Director for the KCU-GME Consortium/Sano Sports Medicine Fellowship that just started this year.
