Margo A. Shepard, MBA, CCP, CIMA, has over 40 years of financial industry experience. She provides direct consultation and advice to individuals and Not for Profit Associations, Foundations and Endowments on strategic asset allocation, investment strategy and wealth and estate planning. Barron's recognized Margo as one of the Top 100 Women Advisors in the country in 2006. Margo has also been named one of the Forbes Best-In-State Wealth Advisors in Kansas from 2018 to 2023.
Margo is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of the University of North Carolina Kenan-Flagler Business School and received her MBA from the University of Kansas. Quite the Basketball pedigree! She completed post graduate work at The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, earning the Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA ©). She also holds the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER ™ designation.
Margo has been highly active in the community. She currently serves on the University of North Carolina Kenan-Flagler Business School Advisory Committee, the University of Kansas Business School Dean's Advisory Board, and the Diocese of Kansas City-St. Joseph Finance Council and investment Committee and Catholic Charities Planned Gift Council.
Her previous board experience includes William Jewell College Board of Trustees, Children's Mercy Hospital Planned Giving Council-Chair, Notre Dame de Sion Board Chair, Cristo Rey High School board, the Endowment Trust Fund for Catholic Education, The Rehabilitation Institute Foundation board, and the Girl Scouts of NE Kansas & NW Missouri board.
On a personal note, Margo is the daughter of an Osteopathic physician and worked in his office during school breaks. She is the mother of three adult children and is married to her husband, Mike, and recently celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary. She is an avid reader, golfer and cyclist.
