Her doctoral dissertation examined depression, self-compassion, and the stigma of help-seeking in religious leaders. Dr. Sager lives on four wooded acres in Kansas City, KS with her husband, 2-year-old twin daughters, and a German Shepherd named Max. To maintain her own wellness, Dr. Sager leans on Buddhist philosophy, yoga, reading, baking, and hikes in the woods with her family.
