Catherine Satterwhite, PhD, MSPH, MPH, is the Executive Director for the Center for Population Health and Equity at Kansas City University (KCU). Prior to her role at KCU, Dr. Satterwhite worked for the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) as the Regional Health Administrator in Region 7 (KS, IA, MO, NE) for the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Health. Dr. Satterwhite also spent time in academia as a tenured Associate Professor in the Department of Population Health and the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Kansas Medical Center (KUMC) in Kansas City, KS. In her early career, she spent over a decade as an epidemiologist with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). A Kansas native, Dr. Satterwhite completed her academic training at Emory University in Atlanta, GA, and New York University.
