Bruce R. Williams, DO, FACOFP dist., practiced osteopathic family medicine for over 30 years in Eastern Jackson County, Missouri. He is currently the Associate Dean of Clinical Education at Kansas City University, College of Osteopathic Medicine.
Dr. Williams is the Immediate Past-President of the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians (ACOFP). His elected Board of Governors position follows years of active ACOFP volunteer involvement, including his role as a Delegate to the Congress of Delegates and as a member of the Patient Centered Medical Home/ACO Committee and the Ethics Committee. From 2011 to 2013, Dr. Williams also served as President of the Missouri Society of the ACOFP.
Following his previous leadership position with the Missouri Association of Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons (MAOPS), as President from 2004 to 2005, Dr. Williams continues to serve as a Trustee on the MAOPS Board and actively volunteers on several committees. In addition, from 2010 to 2017, he served on the Board of Trustees of the Kansas City University, and since 1997, has made valuable contributions to the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) as a Missouri Delegate to the AOA House of Delegates.
Locally, Dr. Williams serves on the Board of Directors of the Samuel U. Rodgers Health Center and the Greater Lee’s Summit Healthcare Foundation.
